The Stafford Church of Christ is made up of a loving, friendly and diverse group of people. We are a non-denominational church striving to model ourselves after the First Century church, which is the church that Jesus Christ established and for which he died
(Matthew 16:18-19)18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and jon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
. As members of His church, we wear the name Christian, because that is the name the Lord's people wore
(Acts 11:26)26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.
. Our goal is to share the message of Christ with the surrounding community and throughout the world. We have no creed, manual, or church rules other than those stated in the Bible. The Bible alone is our guide. Our Elders are the spiritual leaders of our congregation and meet the qualifications as specified in the Bible (I Timothy 3 & Titus 1).
